Gillespie named to All-Region 23 Tournament Team
Itawamba Community College freshman guard Nadia Gillespie has been selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women's All-Region 23 Tournament Team, which was announced today.
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College freshman guard Nadia Gillespie has been selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Women's All-Region 23 Tournament Team, which was announced today.
The Olive Branch native averaged 12.5 points per game while shooting 44 percent in the Lady Indians' two games in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament last month.
Gillespie scored 14 points while grabbing four rebounds and adding three steals, one assist and one block in the Lady Indians' 78-68 win over Northwest. In the 63-40 loss to East Mississippi, she scored 11 points and had six rebounds.
For the season, Gillespie averaged 6.9 points per game and 4.9 rebounds to help ICC to Co-MACCC and Co-North Division titles and a 13-3 record.
