Lady Indians to face Northwest in Region Tournament
The Itawamba Community College women’s basketball team will host Northwest Mississippi Community College Monday night in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
Fulton, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College women's basketball team will host Northwest Mississippi Community College Monday night in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
The Lady Indians (14-9) are the No. 8 seed in the tournament while the Lady Rangers (15-10) are the No. 9 seed.
In their two previous meeting this season, the squads splits wins with ICC wining the first meeting 76-70 in Fulton, and Northwest winning in Senatobia, 70-61.
Both squads competed in the MACCC Tournament earlier this week with the Lady Indians falling to Coahoma and Northwest defeating Pearl River before falling to Jones.
The winner of Monday's night's game will face the winner of No. 1 seed Pearl River and the winner of Saturday's play-in game between Northeast and Southern Shreveport.
This year's tournament game is being hosted by the higher seeded team until the final two rounds, that will be hosted at Mississippi College on March 4-5.
Tip-off for Monday night's game in Fulton is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
