FULTON, MS - The Lady Indians surged in the fourth quarter to claim a hard-fought 65-57 victory over Gulf Coast.
After a sluggish second quarter where they managed just six points, the Lady Indians responded with an explosive 26-point final period to take control and seal the win.
Jestiny Dixon scored 15 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter while grabbing 12 rebounds. Tootie Lockett also scored 21 points with Leanna Silas securing 10 rebounds to go with her six points.
The Lady Indians dominated the boards (42-27) and made clutch free throws down the stretch to the game in their favor.
