TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 22 Lady Indians battled No. 2 Shelton State through the first half before the Lady Bucs pulled away for an 81–51 win in Tuscaloosa.
The Lady Indians led 10–9 after the opening quarter behind early baskets from Briyana Turner, I'xana Winters, and Chloe Chism.
Turner and Tootie Lockett paced the offense in the second quarter, while Starr Amos provided a strong presence on the glass as Shelton State used a late run to take the lead into halftime.
Turner led ICC with 22 points while Winters finished with 11.
The Lady Indians will take on Moberly Area in the Three Rivers Classic at 4 p.m. Friday in Popular Bluff, Missouri.
