Lockett’s quarterfinal performance earns MACCC Player of the Week
Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Tootie Lockett has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Tootie Lockett has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Lockett played a key role in the Lady Indians' 71-44 victory over Co-Lin in the quarterfinal round of the Region 23 Tournament, finishing with a double-double. The Starkville native dropped 18 points and collected 10 rebounds to help lead ICC to the win and a spot in the tournament semifinals.
Lockett currently leads the team with an average of 15 points per game, along with 83 assists and 44 steals on the season.
The Lady Indians will return to the court on Wednesday, March 11, when they take on Northwest in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament at 5:30 p.m. on the campus of Pearl River Community College.
