ICC Women’s Soccer has four earn all-conference honors
Four student-athletes from the Itawamba Community College Women’s Soccer program earned postseason honors from the Mississippi Association of Community College’s Conference (MACCC) Monday.
Fulton, Miss. – Four student-athletes from the Itawamba Community College Women's Soccer program earned postseason honors from the Mississippi Association of Community College's Conference (MACCC) Monday.
Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Wesleigh Driskell (Tupelo) and sophomore forward Sydney Hughes (Tupelo) were named to the All-MACCC North Division First Team. Driskell, whose season was cut short due to injury, made 16 saves while allowing only two goals in five games last season. Hughes had a team-high three assists and tied for a team-best three goals while leading the team with nine points.
Sophomore midfielders Lexi Loden (Saltillo) and Emily Hayward (Oxford) were named to the All-MACCC Second Team. Loden netted two goals and had two assists last season while Hayward finished with one assist. Hughes and Loden were also named to the MACCC North Division All-Star team earlier this month.
The Lady Indians finished 3-8, 2-6 in North Division play in the COVID-altered spring season.
