No. 24 Lady Indians fall on the road at No. 16 Hinds

RAYMOND, Miss. – The No. 24 Lady Indians dropped a 7-2 decision on the road at No. 16 Hinds.

In doubles action, Hinds secured wins on Courts 1 and 2 to take the early advantage. At No. 1, Agostina Pizarro and Melina Vazquez fell 8-5, while Ava Logan and Addi Joshlin dropped No. 2, 8-1. The Lady Indians picked up their lone doubles point at No. 3, where Ava Moore and Breanne Sparks earned an 8-4 victory.

In singles play, Hinds claimed five of the six matches to seal the team win. Pizarro fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 while Vazquez was defeated 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Joshlin dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 3 while Sparks fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.

Moore battled at No. 5, forcing a third-set tiebreak before coming up short, 6-4, 3-6, [10-4]. Logan added the Lady Indians' second point of the day with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 6.
