No. 22 Lady Indians drop road match at No. 18 Co-Lin
The No. 22 Lady Indians fell on the road to No. 18 Co-Lin, 9-0, on Tuesday.
WESSON, Miss. – The No. 22 Lady Indians fell on the road to No. 18 Co-Lin, 9-0, on Tuesday.
In doubles play, the Lady Indians were unable to secure a point as Co-Lin swept all three matches. At No. 1, Agostina Pizarro and Melina Vazquez dropped an 8-4 decision. Ava Logan and Breanne Sparks fell by the same 8-4 score at No. 2. The No. 3 doubles match was decided by walkover in favor of Co-Lin.
In singles action, Co-Lin claimed all six courts to pick up the team victory. Pizarro fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1, while Vazquez dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 2. Sparks was defeated 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3, and Logan fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. At No. 5, Ava Moore was edged 6-0, 6-0, while the No. 6 match went to Co-Lin by walkover.
No. 22 ICC will be back in action on Friday, March 27, when they host No. 24 East Central at the Johnson-Partlow Tennis Courts, starting at 12 p.m.
