Strong comeback lifts Indians to win over Calhoun

FULTON, Miss. – It went down to the wire when Itawamba Community College's volleyball team took a 3-2 win over Calhoun on Friday, in five sets (25-27; 28-30; 25-20; 25-12; 15-13).
After dropping the first two sets, the Indians (2-0, 0-0 MACCC) surged back, taking the final three to secure the comeback victory over the Warhawks (1-1).
Lyons and Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) both recorded a team-best 19 kills each in the victory for ICC while McLaine Dorr (Glucksadt) added seven to the stat sheet. Lyons' 19 was one shy of a career high for the outside hitter.
Woolbright posted a career-high 33 digs against the Warhawks, which is the second-most for an ICC player in a game in program history. Lyons contributed 25 to the stat sheet while Kylie Graham (Moulton, Ala.), who also posted a team-best 21 assists, added 10.
The Indians will be back in action on Aug. 29 when they travel to Knoxville, Tenn. for a 5:30 p.m. match with Pellissippi State.
