Volleyball Opens 2025 Season with Four-Game Homestand
Itawamba Community College volleyball has announced its 2025 schedule, highlighted by 12 regular-season home matches at the Davis Event Center.
FULTON, Miss. — Itawamba Community College volleyball has announced its 2025 schedule, highlighted by 12 regular-season home matches at the Davis Event Center.
The season opens with four home games in two days, beginning Friday, Aug. 22, when ICC hosts Northwest-Shoals and Pellissippi State. The action continues on Saturday with matches against Calhoun and Bevill State.
The home schedule includes seven conference games that will shape the MACCC standings and postseason seeding. The conference home opener is set for Wednesday, Sept. 3, against Northwest. Other home dates include Gulf Coast (Sept. 10), Pearl River (Sept. 17), East Central (Sept. 24), Northeast (Oct. 1), Jones (Oct. 8), Southwest (Oct. 15) and Meridian (Oct. 22).
The final regular-season home match will be Sophomore Day, Monday, Oct. 27, against Dyersburg State.
In addition to the home slate, the Indians will travel for several key conference road matchups. ICC will play at Southwest Mississippi (Sept. 8), Meridian (Sept. 12), Jones (Sept. 15), Northeast (Sept. 22), East Central (Sept. 29), Pearl River (Oct. 6), Gulf Coast (Oct. 13), Northwest (Oct. 20), East Central, Jones College, Northeast Mississippi and Southwest Mississippi (Sept. 8). These matches are expected to play a big role in postseason positioning.
ICC was recently named the MACCC Volleyball Academic Team of the Year, an honor that reflects the program's emphasis on performance both on the court and in the classroom.
The Indians will also compete in multiple tournaments during the regular season, including stops at Wallace State, Bishop State and Northwest-Shoals. These tournaments will provide important opportunities to test the team's depth and prepare for the postseason.
The NJCAA Region 23 Tournament begins Oct. 29, and the champion will advance to a national play-in match on Nov. 8 for a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament.
