“Autumn is a big recruit for us,” Kirk commented. “She has been recruited and offered by a lot of four-year schools so we are very fortunate to have her coming to ICC. She has a lot of power and can play a lot of different positions which is very valuable for us.”
Itawamba Community College head softball coach Andy Kirk announced sophomore pitcher Rebecca Sloan and sophomore shortstop Kami Roberts signed continue their careers as student-athletes at Blue Mountain College.

“We are well-known for our outstanding athletic programs here at ICC and a large part of that success can be traced back to our coaches stressing the importance of excellence in the classroom,” said Ball-Williamson. “When a student-athlete does what it takes to perform at a high level in the classroom that same type of hard work and dedication shows in their respective sports.”
“This is a great honor for all the hard work and dedication these student-athletes put into their academic careers here at ICC,” said Ball-Williamson. “A lot of people don’t realize how much work and how many hours go into being a success in the classroom and in the sports they play.”
Sophomore pitcher Rebecca Sloan (Oneonta, AL) continues to make Itawamba Community College softball history as she was named the program’s first-ever National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region South team selection for National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II colleges on Tuesday.
This award is a reflection of all the hard work and dedication the girls put into the season. Itawamba Community College head softball coach Andy Kirk announced sophomore pitcher Rebecca Sloan (Oneonta, AL), freshman pitcher Montana Hawkins (Sulligent, AL) and freshman first baseman Emilee Henderson (Burnsville) were named to the 2013 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State team.
For the second-straight season Itawamba Community College sophomore outfielder Jessi Patterson (Nettleton) has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 team.
The Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) announced the 2013 All-North Division Softball Teams and Itawamba Community College was represented with eight of its players earning postseason honors.
The back-to-back Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) North Division champion Lady Indians will host open tryouts on Monday, May 20th starting at 3:00 p.m. at the ICC Softball Complex on the Fulton campus

The North Division Champion Lady Indians (31-12-1, 18-6 North) were scheduled to take on the South Division's No. 4 seed Pearl River Community College (24-20, 13-11 South) Friday afternoon at 2:00, but will now face the Lady Bobcats at the same time on Sunday.
Game 1 of the twin bill is scheduled for Sunday starting at 3:00 p.m. with Sophomore Day festivities to be held after the conclusion of the doubleheader.
