TANNER, Ala. - The Lady Indians (3-1-1, 0-0-0 MACCC) powered past Calhoun Community College with a 6-0 win.
The scoring started fast. Just 51 seconds in, Millie Webb (England) finished a pass from Isobel Kinsella (Gloucestershire) to make it 1-0. Eight minutes later, the same duo connected again for a second goal. Webb then completed her hat trick in the 15th minute off an assist from Noelie Therasse (Belgium).
Kinsella added a goal of her own in the 22nd minute, creating space and striking unassisted. In the 30th minute, she found the net again, this time set up by Therasse, giving ICC a 5-0 halftime lead.
The final goal came in the 80th minute. Webb scored her fourth of the match on another setup from Kinsella, sealing the 6-0 result.
The defense was just as sharp. Calhoun managed only four shots on target. Goalkeepers Annabelle Holman (Amory) and Kyla Kate Huffman (Pelahatchie) each played a half and combined for four saves and the shutout.
The Lady Indians will open conference play at No. 3 Holmes Community College on Tuesday.
