HARRISBURG, IL – The Indians bounced back from a 25-23 opening set loss to win three-straight sets (25-23; 25-22; 25-7) to open the season with a 3-2 win over Frontier College in the Southeastern Illinois Invitational on Saturday.
Bree Lyons (Oxford) led the Indians with 12 kills and five aces. Presley Jones (Killen, AL) had a team-best 14 assists while Audrey Hamill (Pontotoc) added 13 assists in the win.
Kensley Woolbright (Columbus) had 17 digs, Lyons added 14 while Mia Griffin (Corinth) chipped in 13 digs. Ashelyn Isbell (Corinth) had 3 blocks to pace the Indians defensively.
ICC will face Wabash Valley at 5 p.m. in its final match of the day.
