FULTON, Miss. - The Indians made quick work of Mississippi Gulf Coast on Friday night, rolling to a straight-set sweep, taking the match by scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-20.
Michael Ann East (Oxford) powered the ICC (4-4, 1-2 MACCC) attack with a team-high 13 kills, while Nala Salter (Flowood) added nine kills and anchored the back row with 13 digs. Fisher Enis (Brandon) kept the offense running smoothly, dishing out 15 assists to go along with three service aces.
The Indians' depth was on full display. Chloe Carr (Flora) and Maggie Miller (Marion, AR) combined for four service aces, while Kaydee Vaughn (Florence, AL) brought energy at the net with three kills and a pair of blocks. ICC racked up 53 digs on the night and held Gulf Coast to a .028 attack percentage.
