MERIDIAN, Miss. - The Indians (5-4, 2-2 MACCC) overcame a two-set deficit to defeat Meridian Community College 3-2 on Friday night, taking the final three sets 25-21, 25-15, 15-12.
Michael Ann East (Oxford) led the ICC attack with 10 kills and 12 digs, while McLaine Dorr (Madison) added eight kills and seven blocks. Ella Grace Phillips (Amory) anchored the back row with 11 digs and chipped in nine kills. Fisher Enis (Brandon) ran the offense efficiently, posting 15 assists and four service aces to keep the Indians ahead in crucial moments.
Nala Salter (Flowood) and Chloe Carr (Flora) combined for 14 digs, while Kadence Rolston (Florence, AL), Kaydee Vaughn (Florence, AL) and Ivyaan Taylor (Caledonia) contributed key blocks and kills.
ICC totaled 38 kills on 147 attempts, 68 digs, 20 blocks, and 11 service aces, with a 15-12 fifth set sealing the comeback victory.
