POPLARVILLE, Miss. — ICC fell in a five-set battle at Pearl River Community College Monday evening, dropping a close 3–2 match (25–20, 25–22, 23–25, 21–25, 14–16).
The Indians were led by Kadence Rolston with 11 kills, while Michael Ann East added 10 kills. McLaine Dorr and Molly Burchell each contributed key points with six and eight kills, respectively. Ella Grace Phillips tallied six points along with nine digs and six block assists, anchoring the defense.
Maggie Miller tallied 16 assists with six digs, and Fisher Enis added 18 assists and 10 digs, helping ICC stay competitive throughout the five sets.
Pearl River pulled away in the decisive fifth set, taking advantage of timely kills to edge the Indians in a tightly contested finish.
The Indians will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host Jones.
