Fulton, Miss - The Indians (3-3, 0-1 MACCC) fell in four sets to Northwest Mississippi (11-2, 1-0 MACCC) to open confernce play on Wednesday.
McLaine Dorr (Madison) led the offense with 6 kills and 9.5 points, while Nala Salter (Flowood) powered the team with 7 kills and 14 digs, contributing both offensively and defensively. Kaydee Vaughn (Florence, AL) added 4 kills and 7 points, and Fisher Enis (Brandon) made an impact with 12 digs and a strong presence on serve receive. Ella Grace Phillips (Amory) and Michael Ann East (Oxford) provided steady contributions, keeping the Indians competitive throughout.
The third set was a highlight, as ICC clawed back from an early deficit to challenge the Ranger point for point.
The Indians recorded 83 digs and 42 total points.
